Lithuania’s Geco mulls investments in Poland’s energy market

Geco Energy Company, majority-owned by Lithuanian billionaire Augustinas Rakauskas, is eyeing investments in the Polish renewable energy and heat segment, the daily Puls Biznesu reported on Tuesday citing Geco CEO Raimondas Streimikis.
Geco is analyzing, among others, two waste incinerators construction projects worth PLN 500 million each and looking at takeover opportunities related to privatization of heating enterprises.
In four-five years, the company may mull a debut on the WSE, the CEO also said.
