Poland's non-government debt market grows in Q1 - Fitch

Poland enjoyed 6.5% year on year and 2.2% quarter on quarter growth of its non-government debt market in Q1 2014 to the level of PLN 125.9 billion, credit rating agency Fitch said in a report.

The value of the corporate bond market with maturities over 365 days in Q1 amounted to PLN 41.09 billion, up by 28.6% y/y and 8.7% q/q, the report showed.

Bank debt with maturities over 365 days grew 8.8% y/y and 2.8% q/q to PLN 49.1 billion, Fitch said.

Municipal debt with maturities over 365 days grew 17.4% y/y but shrank 1.2% q/q to PLN 18.3 billion, according to the report.
