Magic of Mime
June 3, 2015
Article's tools:

Poland’s best known mime artist, Ireneusz Krosny, aims to entertain audiences while revealing some of the secrets of his trade in an original show at Warsaw’s Capitol Theater.

Polish audiences know Krosny as a creative performer with a great sense of humor. He has made a name for himself with inventive comedy mime shows that he writes himself. His latest is entitled Body Language (Mowa ciała) and consists of two parts. The first is packed with amusing sketches, while in the second part audiences are given an opportunity to look behind the scenes of a mime artist’s work. Krosny tells viewers (the show is subtitled in English) what mimes do to walk without moving forward and why we almost see objects that are not really there. We also get to learn about our own, everyday body language and find out how we can control our bodies to feel better.
