New Lufthansa Group Country Manager

Frank Wagner, 47, has been appointed Country Manager for Poland for Lufthansa Group airlines, including Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Swiss International Air Lines.

With over 15 years of experience in the aviation sector, Wagner is in charge of sales at Lufthansa Group airlines in Poland. He reports directly to Ofer Kisch, Lufthansa’s Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe.

Wagner joined Lufthansa in 1997 in London, where he held several positions at the local sales department. In 1999, he joined the group’s European Area Management team in London and in 2001, he became an assistant to the Deputy Director of Sales and Service for Europe. In 2004, Wagner was appointed Lufthansa’s General Manager in Portugal. He returned to Britain in 2009 and became product manager for Star Alliance Company Plus/Partner Plus Benefit, a corporate bonus program in Britain and Ireland. In 2013, he was appointed manager in charge of airline cooperation and joint venture agreements in Britain and in 2014, he joined the Lufthansa Group’s European Area Management strategic team in Frankfurt.

Wagner holds a doctoral degree in communications from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, one of Germany’s oldest and largest universities. He was born in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and is married with three children.
