Malgorzata Gersdorf
President Bronislaw Komorowski appointed Professor Malgorzata Gersdorf First President of the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

She is the first woman to hold this prestigious post.

The 61 year-old professor of law at the Warsaw University has been Supreme Court (SN) judge since 2008. She specializes in labour law.

The First President's post was vacated last January after the death of judge Stanislaw Dabrowski.
