Canadian copper firm MiedziCopper, which beat Polish copper giant KGHM in the race of explorations licenses for the Bytom Odrzanski and Kotla areas in western Poland, plans to spend PLN 160 million on explorations works in Poland in 2014, the daily Parkiet writes citing the company's CEO Lyle Braaten.

The firm has so far plowed PLN 100 million in geophysical studies on all Polish licenses. Further exploration works will take four-five years.
