Polish emigrants earned around PLN 885 billion in the last ten years, according to the Euro-Tax data.

A working emigrant's average monthly salary converted into the national currency exceeds PLN 6,000.

The positive impact of emigration on the Polish economy via remittances is decreasing, the daily Gazeta Wyborcza writes citing latest central bank data.

The upshot for Poland is negative, as the bulk of the money earned by Poles abroad is spent in the host countries, Piotr Arak of Polityka Insight think-tank said.
