World leaders to attend Poland’s free election anniversary

Poland will host one of the largest gatherings of world leaders during the 25th anniversary of the first Polish democratic elections after World War II, on June 4.

The anniversary celebrations will be attended, among many others, by the US President Barack Obama, French President Francois Hollande and German President Joachim Gauck.

Celebrations are to remind the whole world that the fall of communist era began in Poland, the daily Gazeta Wyborcza wrote.
