Surrealist paintings, drawings, objects and collages by Polish artist Erna Rosenstein are on show until May 25 at the Xawery Dunikowski Sculpture Museum at the Królikarnia Palace.

The exhibition is entitled Superimposition, referring to a collage Rosenstein produced in 1965 comprising sandpaper, drawings and painted elements. Rosenstein frequently combined different techniques by putting one layer over another and then letting time take its toll on the resulting work. The Superimposition collage is part of the National Museum collection in Warsaw.

The exhibition at the Sculpture Museum includes films that echo the surrealism in Rosenstein’s work.
