Mennica Polska increases its stake in Netia

Mennica Polska, mint, a listed company controlled by industrial magnate Zbigniew Jakubas, increased its stake in telco Netia to 9.99% through a purchase of 4.94% stake in Friday block transactions, Mennica said in a market filing.

According to Netia's website, as at end-April shareholders controlling over 5% included: Third Avenue Management (14.32%), Sisu Capital (12.74%), ING OFE (9.56%), Aviva OFE (5.82%), PZU OFE (5.54%) as well as Zbigniew Jakubas-controlled firms Mennica Polska (5%) and FIP TFI (5.02%).

Both Mennica and FIP increased their stakes in Netia in April.
