Poland's future inflation index (WPI) edged up 0.7 pts in May, marking the sixth consecutive month of index growth and signaling a gradual intensification of factors favoring acceleration of price increases, the Bureau for Investments and Economic Cycles (BIEC) said in its monthly report.

At the same time, "enterprises are still strongly reducing costs, which favors price stability and improvement of their financial situation," the analysts wrote. And although the economy is speeding up, "domestic demand recovery is very slow, and that stabilizes inflation pressure of the demand type," BIEC report reads.
