Power group PGE expects prices of hard coal to remain flat in long-term contracts to 2020, while electricity prices will grow "moderately" at 4.8% CAGR, PGE officials said at an analyst conference Wednesday.

"In terms of hard coal, the global situation of oversupply puts pressure also on domestic miners, so we rather expect prices should remain flat by 2020," CEO Marek Woszczyk said.

"We assume coal prices in the nearest future to remain stable and later to grow moderately," CFO Magdalena Bartos added.

CO2 emission prices, in turn, are expected to "follow EU talk" and grow "up to EUR 10 per ton in 2020," she also said.

As a result, electricity prices are expected to grow moderately at CAGR of 4.8%, the CFO said.
