Poland’s revenues from gambling tax shrink even more

The Polish government’s revenues from gambling tax continue to decline, with the April drop by 7.5% year on year to PLN 103 million, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna wrote citing own information.

In the YTD revenues from the gambling tax amounted to PLN 432 million, down from PLN 453.2 million in the corresponding period of 2013.

Meanwhile, slot machine owners are using a loophole created by the European Court of Justice in 2012 and are re-installing slot machines without paying any taxes, head of entertainment devices producer lobby Stanislaw Matuszewski told the daily.
