Poland's harmonized annual HICP inflation measured 0.3% in April, down from the 0.6% annual reading for March, Eurostat said in a statement on Thursday.

Month on month, prices were up by 0.1%, the statement shows.

Poland's CPI as calculated by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) also measured 0.3% y/y in April.

HICP is used to determine countries' compliance with Maastricht treaty inflation criteria, necessary for euro adoption. The maximum allowed inflation is set at 1.5 pp above the level of three-year average of countries with the lowest result in the EU.
