WSE may have new CEO in July - report
May 19, 2014
Deputy Treasury Minister Pawel Tamborski could replace Adam Maciejewski as the CEO of Warsaw Stock Exchange operator GPW, the daily Puls Biznesu writes citing own findings.
The incumbent GPW CEO's term expires on July 1. Tamborski's candidacy is said to have emerged a few months ago. Before joining the government two years ago, Tamborski had had a long experience of work at the capital market, so he is well suited for the job, representatives of local brokerages said.
His expertise may be especially useful in the context of a potential merger with the Vienna Stock Exchange, head of one of the brokerages said.
