Poland’s SEZ enjoy investment craze
May 19, 2014
Polish special economic zones are facing a notable rise of interest from companies and many of them may issue as many permits in H1 alone as they did in the entire 2013.
Katowice Special Economic Zone head Piotr Wojaczek speaks of investment craze, admitting it is hard for him to remember by heart the over 40 procedures currently under way.
The Economy Ministry is working at a fast pace to expand 8 out of 14 existing zones. The acceleration in investment activity results from changes to the state aid law to become effective as of July 1, 2014, as investors fear their position will deteriorate.
