Spanish insurer Mapfre plans investments in Poland - report
May 20, 2014
Spain's largest insurance Mapfre is interested in the Polish market and will likely try to take advantage of any acquisition opportunity on the market, the daily Puls Biznesu reports citing an industry outsider.
Mapfre wanted to invest in Poland earlier, but those plans were derailed first by the financial crisis of 2008 and then by the debt crisis of 2010.
Mapfre was bidding for direct insurer Link4, but lost to PZU.
