Poland's antitrust watchdog wants LTE frequencies tender cancelled

Poland's Office for Competition and Consumer Protection UOKiK criticizes the terms of the auction for LTE frequencies and wants telecom market regulator UKE to cancel the auction and launch a new tender.

UOKiK complained about unclear motivation behind recently introduced changes to the tender terms. UKE recently withdrew limits imposed on the Zygmunt Solorz-Zak group, as an entity that currently holds the largest package of frequencies allowing for providing the LTE service.

This UKE's decision might have been made without taking into account analysis of the impact on competition on the market, UOKiK said.
