Poland's April wages rise by 3.8pct y/y, employment up 0.7pct y/y

Poland's average corporate gross wage measured PLN 3,976.80 in April, as it rose by 3.8% year on year, but fell by 1.0% month on month, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said.

Wages counting out bonus payments from profit at PLN 3,974.79 were up by 3.8% year on year on a monthly decline of 1.1%.

Poland's corporate employment measured 5.515 million persons in April, as it rose 0.7% y/y and remained unchanged m/m.

The tie up of jobs and wages pushed the nominal corporate wage bill up by 4.5% y/y on a 1.0% monthly decrease, calculations against the data showed.
