May 21, 2014
Poland's industrial output growth should accelerate to some 6% in May, Economy Ministry analysts wrote in a comment to April output data.
"In May 2014, compared to May 2013, industrial output growth should be close to 6%," the ministry said commenting on the Central Statistics Office (GUS) data.
Poland's industrial output increased by 5.4% year on year in April vs. 4.9% y/y growth expected in the PAP Polish news agency consensus survey, as output declined 2.3% from the prior month, GUS said earlier on Tuesday.
Construction output should continue to grow at a double-digit pace in May, the ministry said.
In Q2 industrial output should rise at a pace similar to the 4.7% growth recorded in the first four months of 2014, ministry experts forecast.
