Ruling PO gains 5ppt lead in European elections voter support – CBOS poll

Poland's governing party PO enjoyed a slight increase in voter support in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament, by 5 ppt to 26% in May, while the main opposition party, conservative Law and Justice (PiS), gained 1 pps to 21%, the latest survey from the CBOS institute shows.
Support for the left-wing Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) increased 2 pps to 8%.
Support for junior coalition partner Polish People’s Party (PSL) rose by 2 ppt to 5%, the threshold required for entering the parliament, the poll results showed.
Europe Plus Twoj Ruch (Your Movement), the new incarnation of the leftist-liberal Palikot Movement, stayed flat at a below-threshold 2%.
Extra-parliamentary New Right of right-wing veteran Janusz Korwin-Mikke saw its support decline to 4%, down by 2 pps compared to the survey conducted at the turn of April and May.
In Poland, The European elections will be held on May 25.
