University of Warsaw named best Polish higher learning seat

Professor Marcin Palys
University of Warsaw was given the first place in the 15th ranking of public and private institutions of higher learning in Poland organized by the Perspectives Educational Foundation.

“We have ambitions to be counted among the best in the world,” Rector of Warsaw University Professor Marcin Palys said when reveiving the award from the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Daria Lipinska-Nalecz on Wedenesday.

The second place in the ranking was taken by the Jagiellonian University in Cracow while the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan came third.

As many as 193 institutions of higher learning were surveyed in this year’s ranking.
