ZAK to spend PLN 280m on investments & maintenance in 2014

Zaklady Azotowe Kedzierzyn (ZAK), a unit of chemicals group Grupa Azoty, plans to spend PLN 180 million on investments and PLN 100 million on maintenance this year, ZAK CEO Adam Leszkiewicz told a news conference on Friday.

"In 2014 we intend to spend PLN 180 mln on investments and PLN 100 mln on maintenance," Leszkiewicz said. "Also the coming two-three years are going to be a period of increased investment effort."
The company eyes among others a modernization of key production lines and investing in new products.

Earlier on Friday ZAK and engineering firm Rafako signed a gross PLN 393.6 million contract for the first stage of construction of a heat-and-power plant.
