Poland’s public TV extends age span of commercial group

Poland’s public television TVP extended the age span of commercial group aged 16-49 to 16-59, due to the fact that the group of older viewers is on the increase and they are more affluent than they used to be, TVP's ad office said.

Media group TVN will not implement such change for the time being, but will see if TVP's change will bring about an alteration of tactics of media houses and advertisers, TVN's investor relations director Tomasz Pozniak said.

TVN will watch the effects of extending the definition of commercial group on the sale of ads, he said.
