Biedronka retailer to allow credit card payments - report

Biedronka, Poland's biggest retailer and unit of Portuguese Jeronimo Martins, will introduce credit card payments as of July 1, with terminals to be serviced by bank Pekao, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported.

On July 1 the possibility of payment card payments will appear in selected Biedronka stores and the process of introducing terminals will last for three months, the daily wrote.

Biedronka will likely be paying an interchange fee of ca 0.3% of the transaction value, the daily wrote.
