Poland may become world's top location for BPO - report

Poland is witnessing a boom in business process outsourcing (BPO), with 470 centers with foreign capital now present in the country, employing 128,000 people.

As many as 66 new centers were set up in the past year, offering 18,000 new workplaces.

The employment level should rise to 150-170,000 by end-2016, BPO Capgemini's European chain director Marek Grodzinski said.

Poland could become the world's top location for BPO and the sector could grow to 200,000 employees in the coming years, Association of Business Services Leaders' president Jacek Levernes said.
