The Polish government hopes for a deeper decline in its unemployment rate in May than the 0.5 ppt fall recorded in April, deputy Labor Minister Jacek Mecina told reporters on Tuesday.
Poland's registered unemployment rate decreased to 13.0% in April from the prior-month level of 13.5%, according to Central Statistical Office (GUS) figures released Monday.
Before the publication of the April data, Labor Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said that Poland's unemployment will likely fall by at least 0.5 ppt in May.
