Kompania Piwowarska, Poland's top beer producer and unit of SAB Miller, expects beer sales to pick up in 2014/2015 financial year (ending in March 2015) to 37.9 million hectoliters, CEO Andrew Highcock told reporters on Wednesday.

"This year we may end the volume decline visible in the previous year," Highcock said. "there is no reason to believe that the market will perform negatively. The World Cup should stimulate consumption."

The firm expects the market to grow to 37.9 million hectoliters in the 2014/2015 season from 37.3 million a year before.

Value growth should be more pronounced that volume growth, but if the weather is favorable, it should also support volume growth, Highcock added.
