Poland's WWK composite corporate leading sentiment indicator continued to rise in May with the indicator up 1.6 pts month on month to 154 pts, according to the WWK report from the BIEC agency.

"Entrepreneurs signal an increase in orders and an improvement of corporate financial conditions," authors write. However, "despite a visible recovery and positive prospects for the future, the current pace of economic development remains below potential."

Of eight index components, five contributed to growth, while three offered drag.

The biggest positive contribution came from an overall improvement of the assessment of the economic outlook. The assessment was net positive for the first time since December 2010, researchers said.
