Polish retail sales in April grew by 0.6% year on year after a 1.9% increase in March and fell by 0.6% month on month, according to a release by the EU statistics office Eurostat.

Poland's Central Statistic Office (GUS) earlier reported 8.4% y/y and 2.3% m/m increase in retail sales in April. In contrast to the Polish data, Eurostat data include stores with a headcount below ten employees and exclude automotive sales.

Eurostat annual growth figures are working-day adjusted, while the monthly figures are seasonally adjusted.
