The world’s best mime theater performers are coming to Warsaw’s Dramatyczny Theater to take part in the 14th International Mime Art Festival June 13-22.

Organized by the Warsaw Mime Center and the Dramatyczny Theater, this annual festival is one of the most important events of its kind in Europe. This year’s performers hail from Germany, Russia, France and Poland.

One of the festival’s main events will be the premiere of Gogol, inspired by a production by Marcel Marceau, the greatest mime artist of our times. Gogol will be staged by the Warsaw Mime Center Theater.

Audiences will also be able to see German-French duo Bodecker & Neander in a selection of their best work, and German-Russian legend Derevo, who will perform a show entitled Once. Theater Circus&C.O are coming from Germany with a spectacular staging of Goethe’s Faust. Mime artists from around the world will share the stage during a special Contemporary Mime Evening.

The festival will also comprise mime workshops conducted by performers who pursue different styles of the art, including Gregg Goldston, Alexander Neander, Wolfram Bodecker and Lionel Menard. The workshops are open to anyone who wants to try their hand at mime.
