Poles become nation of commuters

Some one in three working Poles or 3.1 million holds a job in a different county than they live in, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) data show.
The southern region of Silesia sends 18,000 people north to work in Warsaw to beat all other major regions and counter the widespread belief that Warsaw hires outsiders from Poland's poorest regions.
Poland's poorest regions in the northeast have the lowest rate of commuting.
