Corporate loan sales grow - report

Polish banks have noticed an increased interest in corporate loans, the daily Parkiet reports citing bank officials.

Greater interest comes first of all from medium, large and the largest firms, ING Bank Slaski CEO Malgorzata Kolakowska says. Based on the current trends on the market, we are optimistic about the growth of loans sales in coming months, Kolakowska said.

Also mBank and PKO BP noticed an increased interest in loans.

At mBank, loan sales volumes in the corporate segment at the end of April increased by 8.9% y/y, mBank vice president Przemyslaw Gdanski said. PKO BP has been recording a large interest in cash loans, the bank's official Wojciech Werochowski said adding that the bank granted PLN 3.4 billion such loans in the Jan-May period, up from PLN 2.4 billion in the year prior period.
