Polish HICP inflation flat in May - Eurostat

Poland's harmonized annual HICP inflation measured 0.3% in May, flat compared to the April level, Eurostat said in a statement.
Month on month, prices fell by 0.2%, the statement shows.
Poland's CPI as calculated by the Central Statistica Office (GUS) measured 0.2% year on year in May, down from 0.3% in April.
HICP is used to determine countries' compliance with Maastricht treaty inflation criteria, necessary for euro adoption. The maximum allowed inflation is set at 1.5 pp above the level of three-year average of countries with the lowest result in the EU.
