June 17, 2014
Poland's consumer inflation will likely stabilize in June in annual terms and decline by 0.2% month on month, the Economy Ministry analysts said in a comment to May CPI data.
The m/m decline should be driven by a further fall in foods prices, while transportation prices are expected to stabilize, and apparel and footwear prices - to inch down, the analysts said.
"The annual inflation indicator should measure 0.0%," they added.
Polish consumer price inflation edged down to 0.2% in May from 0.3% the month prior, below the consensus forecast for a 0.5% annual gain, according to a report from the Central Statistical Office (GUS).
