Polish Post may debut on WSE by end-2016 - CEO
June 18, 2014
The Polish Post (Poczta Polska) may debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by end-2016, but the process is yet subject to analysis, CEO Jerzy Jozkowiak said on Tuesday.
"We are in the final phase of talks on the matter with the Treasury as well as Administration and Digitalization Ministries," Jozkowiak said.
"Taking into account the timetable of matters which need to be done related to drafting a prospectus, pre-privatization analysis, it is a perspective of 1.5-2 years."
At the same time "it is hard to assess the timetable of a WSE debut" and "no final decisions have been made yet," the CEO said.
At present the parties are discussing the details of a potential WSE debut, he added.
The State Treasury should retain a majority stake in the firm, Jozkowiak also said.
