Growing numbers of tourists, the rapid expansion of infrastructure and a positive economic outlook are all contributing to the boom seen in the Polish hotel industry. High rates of return available on the Polish market are attracting investors such as Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG.

Austria's largest hotel group owns and manages hotels, each of which has its own unique character and features an exclusive design. These include both individual city hotels as well as resort hotels. Andel s by Vienna House Cracow is one of four facilities operating under this brand in Europe and one of five hotels that are part of the Vienna House Network in Poland. The Hotel was built in 2007 and is now celebrating its 10th anniversary. Jestico+Whiles, a British duet designed the original interiors, which feature pure forms, expressive colours and plenty of light. The hotel is located in the centre of Crakow, right by Dworzec Główny (Main Train Station). It offers 159 rooms and apartments, an opportunity to relax at a SPA and fitness centre, and to enjoy the delightful restaurant and trendy Oscar’s Bar.

Cracow’s tourist potential is vast. In accordance with the Cracow Tourism Development Strategy for 2014–2020, the provincial capital of Małopolska is to join the ranks of leading European city tourism centres, attracting tourists from all over the world on account of its exceptionally hospitable atmosphere as well as festivals and cultural events recognisable on a European and world scale. Cracow is a desired location for both Polish and foreign tourists.

"Vienna House is optimistic about the future and is on the lookout for potential venues for its hotels. And large cities such as Cracow and also Warsaw, Wroclaw or Gdansk are certainly showing the most promise in terms of tourism and business growth. Our development branch also takes into account smaller towns. Shortly, we hope to be able to announce new information pertaining to the expansion of our network in Poland. And personally, I am eagerly awaiting this announcement" – is how Martin Ykema, the Group's Chief Operating Officer outlined Vienna House plans.
