Filip Załuska’s Music Video for Eskmo

Article's tools:

Love, passion, nature and a time when nothing was impossible - this array of emotions can be seen in the new music video for American artist Eskmo’s song “Feed Fire”. The music video is officially aired online from August 25. It was filmed by the Polish director and cinematographer Filip Załuska. The video was shot in Poland with the F25 Production House in charge of production.

Brendan Angelides, better known to electronic music fans as Eskmo, is an American producer and composer active since 1999. He’s well known to fans of TV series for scoring Netflix’ “13 reasons why” or „Billions” by Showtime Entertainment.

Eskmo music is feelings and emotions expressed in electronic sounds which pull in and inspire. That’s exactly what happened to Filip Załuska - film director and cinematographer, a friend of F25, privately a fan of the Californian artists. He succeeded in convincing Eskmo to go with his vision for the “Feed Fire” music video. You will see the results of this unexpected and spontaneous cooperation on the artist’s official site and elsewhere.

“Eskmo trusted us completely and gave us a free hand. It’s a great pleasure to work for an artist who appreciates our work so much”, says Marcin Dworucha, F25 managing director.

The video, just like the song, is literally about impossible love and passion that will never come to fruition, for various reasons. The longing takes on a broader sense - it’s a yearning to return to innocence, nature, a time when nothing was impossible because there were no categories in society, no norms, or limits to the imagination. All that mattered was living in tune with yourself and following your own desire.

“I think Eskmo’s song has distinct sections. The first is cold, monochromatic, it gives way to the light, sort of hopeful and free part, and then returns to the cold gray. I tried to visualize this structure in the the film form. That’s why I chose to shoot during various seasons of the year - autumn and summer”, says Załuska.

“Working with music videos is different that with commercials, the main difference is creative freedom. Though, as is usually the case with film production, it’s always a great pleasure for the entire crew and it gets really emotional when we first show the results of our work”, says Dworucha.
