"Songs & Fantasmagories" is an unique music album, an excellent result of the pioneer, long-term research on discovering the vocal and instrumental legacy of Ludomir Michał Rogowski, an intriguing, unjustly forgotten Polish composer of the first half of the 20th century.

The unusual blend of energy and experience of the performers: Izabela Kopeç (mezzo-soprano), the Orchestra of the Grand Theatre - National Opera conducted by Łukasz Borowicz, Ewa Pelwecka (piano) and Michał Lisiewicz (violin).

The double album contains music for mezzo-soprano, grand piano and violin - 18 songs of Croatian, French and Polish origin - as well as 5 tracks named Fantasmagories (written for voice accompanied by the orchesta). A “fantasmagory” is something both exciting and elusive - belonging to the world of imagination rather than reality - something illusory.

“Inspired by the figure of Rogowski as well as his sensitivity and philosophy od life, I decided to find, record and publish the vocal and instrumental compositions, for the first time, 63 years after the death of the composer,” says Izabela Kopeć.
