Poland's natural gas infrastructure firm Gaz-System secured the approval of URE energy market regulator for its 2014-2023 investment plan, which envisages spending PLN 7.1 billion on new infrastructure until end-2018 and building nearly 2,000 km of new gas pipelines until 2023, Gaz-System said in a press statement

The planned investments include interconnectors with bordering countries: Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Slovakia, the list of planned investments show.

Financing of the program will be based on EU funds as well as long-term credits from the European Investment Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Gaz-System CEO Jan Chadam said.
