Poland faces no threat of long-term deflation and CPI should gradually head back to the target level if GDP growth holds at the current pace, central bank management board member Andrzej Raczko said on Friday.

"If we have negative CPI, it will be only temporary," Raczko said. "Deflation understood as a long-term, persistent negative inflation index simply does not threaten us."

CPI will be back on the growth path if the economic recovery holds its course, according to Raczko.
