July 2, 2014
Investment fund manager KBC TFI, a unit of the Belgian financial group KBC Asset Management, is not for sale, KBC TFI CEO Katarzyna Szczepkowska told reporters on Tuesday.
"In the strategy of our owner there is no mention of the sale of KBC TFI," Szczepkowska said. "We are focusing on organic growth. We do not currently have plans of taking over other entities."
KBC TFI currently manages some PLN 4 billion in assets. The manager offers some 40 open-and closed-end funds.
KBC TFI was mentioned as one of potential acquisition targets by CEO of Altus TFI, a fund manager which is currently in the process of its IPO. Altus also pointed to BPH TFI and Skarbiec TFI as potential targets for takeover.
