E&E companies searching for shale gas in Poland BNK Polska and 3Legs Resources will present the results of key drillings in northern Poland's Pomorze region this summer.

The results of the drillings are likely to determine the future of a number of exploration works. Sentiment in the shale gas sector is poor and if no company announces success in the coming months, the situation will be much more difficult, a representative of shale gas sector said.

American BNK has already carried out fracking on its Gapowo deposit and is now carrying out tests. The company needs several weeks to know the effects of the tests, BNK Polska director Jacek Wroblewski said.

3Legs Resources plans testing its Lublewo deposit this quarter. The company is considering withdrawing from Poland if the tests fail to bring positive results, 3Legs president Kamlesh Parmar says adding though that he is optimistic about the results.
