Poland's unemployment rate seen down to 11.5pct in summer

Poland's unemployment rate is expected to fall to some 11.5% in summer months, Labor Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on Monday.
"Even though the unemployment rate in June did not fall from the May level quite as much as we expected, we should note that it fell by some 2 pps from the beginning of the year and it is the fastest decline in year," Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
"During summer holidays unemployment should fall to some 11.5%,"he said, adding that the ministry has launched PLN 150 million in additional funds to reduce unemployment.
According to latest estimates by the ministry, unemployment rate in June fell to 12.1% from 12.5% in May.
