Poland's June wage rises by 3,5pct y/y, employment up 0,7pct y/y

Poland's average corporate gross wage measured PLN 3,943,01 in June, an increase of 3,5 % year on year or 1,7% from the prior month, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said.

Economists surveyed by PAP Polish news agency expected a 4.6% corporate wage growth year on year on a monthly increase of 2.7%.

Wages counting out bonus payments from profit at PLN 3940,3 were up by 3,6% y/y on a monthly growth of 1,7%.

Poland's corporate employment measured 5,5261 million persons in June, as it rose 0,7% y/y and rose by 0,2% month on month. Expectations were for employment to rise by 0.6% in annual terms and by 0.1% in monthly terms.
