A new exhibition of posters in Warsaw by graphic designers from Japan and China strives to answer some universal questions about the human condition.

The exhibition, part of the third season of the Cultural Poster series, features work by U.G. Sato from Japan and Jianping He from China. It is on show in the open-air Plenary Gallery of the Royal Łazienki park.

U.G. Sato and Jianping He represent two generations of designers and two different traditions. They raise social, political and environmental issues in their work.

Both artists are known to Polish audiences—they have taken part in the Warsaw International Poster Biennale as participants and judges.

The Plenary Gallery exhibits works of art on the fence around the Royal Łazienki park along Ujazdowskie Avenue, a busy area with numerous embassies and the Polish parliament nearby—making it a perfect venue for a poster exhibition. Some 360,000 visitors see the work on show every year.

Until Aug. 31
