Synthos gets European Commission subsidy for innovation

Chemicals firm Synthos got PLN 147 million co-financing from the European Commission for its PLN 589 million project of implementing an innovative technology of rubber production to be realized by Synthos Dwory 7 in Oswiecim, the Economy Ministry said on its website.
The project will result in the construction of an innovative installation for the production of styrene-butadiene rubbers as well as creation of an R&D department, the ministry said.
Synthos will thus create 162 new jobs.
The means come from the Regional Development Fund.
Synthos said in early July it would spend PLN 631 million on three investment projects in Oswiecim, southern Poland.
