English-speaking visitors to Warsaw’s Museum of Modern Art can take advantage of free guided tours of a current exhibition every Saturday at 2pm. Everyone can join without previous booking.
The museum is currently showing an exhibition of contemporary Polish art entitled “As You Can See: Polish Art Today”. It centers around important works of visual artists over the last decade.
Another exhibition worth visiting is “In the near future. The collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw”. It is focused on the social changes and the emancipatory movements in Poland after 1989.
The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw is a new venue on the map of cultural attractions in the Poland’s capital. Located in the very heart of Warsaw (walking distance from the Central Railway Station) in a modernist building (1960-1970) of a former furniture store ‘Emilia’, the Museum offers an opportunity to explore Polish and foreign modern and contemporary art.
There are also guided tours in Russian every Thursday at 5pm, until the end of August.
A free guided tour in French can be booked at firstname.lastname@example.org.
