Warsaw Stock Exchange operator GPW will focus on potential cooperation with the Vienna bourse and introducing new instruments for market participants under the new management, the newly appointed CEO Pawel Tamborski told reporters on Friday.

"The Vienna issue is one of the most important priorities," Tamborski said. "I would like decisions on the matter to be taken possibly soon."

Tamborski is also preparing new instruments for market players, he said

"I will propose new instruments and incentives for investors and issuers, but details will be presented in a few weeks," he said.

The new CEO is happy with the current situation of Warsaw Stock Exchange, he said, offering praise to the previous management.

Tamborski took over at the helm of GPW officially on Friday, after his candidacy was approved by financial market regulator KNF on Thursday.
