European Election media campaign costs summed up

Polish political parties saw the cost of media campaigns for the election to the European Parliament reach on average PLN 200,000 per one seat won in the Parliament, according to the data of national broadcasting council KRRiT.
The total reached PLN 11.1 million, 2% below the combined spending of parties on media campaigns in the previous European Parliament election back in 2009.
The decline stems, among others, from the fact that parties are using - cheaper - internet advertising more, experts said.
